3 former WWE superstars who may make their return in 2011

Updated on April 8, 2011

Whom will you love to see back in WWE most?

It seems to be the season of return for the WWE superstars! First at Royal Rumble, both Booker T and Big Daddy Kevin Nash made their entry and then it was Rock who returned to WWE Raw like a winner. He wooed the fans and was announced to be the guest host of Wrestlemania 27. In addition, his trash talk on John Cena and then Cena’s rap on Rock made the entire situation even more interesting (If you want to catch both the videos, have a look below and you will find them). However, that was not the end as Stone Cold Steve Austin is set to return as well as a guest referee for the Jerry Lawyer vs. Michael Cole match at Wrestlemania 27.

WWE has examined closely the public reaction on all these comebacks and is extremely elated to be the least, according to insider reports. WWE has plans to indulge Booker T and Kevin Nash in further interesting stories as well. The Rock has already stated that he won’t be wrestling anymore; however, his inclusion in any WWE storyline will no doubt give that a big boost.

After successfully pulling off these comebacks, it is being thought that WWE is trying to rope in some other former superstars as well. If everything goes well, then we may see the following 3 back in action for WWE pretty soon:

Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho

Probably the most expected name in this list. When Chris Jericho’s contract expired with WWE, he chose not to renew the same. He was busy with his band and also the book; however he never denied the fact that he misses wrestling. He did not use a single bad word for WWE unlike other former WWE superstars and if recent rumors are taken as facts, then he may be back in action for WWE by Summerslam this year. Nothing has been confirmed from the wrestler’s or WWE’s end till now, but that seems to be the truth if the consequences are taken into note.

Brock Lesner
Brock Lesner

Brock Lesner

“The next big thing” of WWE may well be back in the organization in 2011. WWE originally had plans of resigning him and put him in a fight against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 27. That never really materialized due to some contractual problems that Lesner had. But, hopefully this time, things will be better.

Lesner no doubt has a brilliant record in independent circuit, but, he recently admitted in an interview that the circuit is injury prone. Wrestling in WWE is not safe either, but, still the chances of getting injured are less. It will be a big bonanza if WWE can sign Lesner to their roster. After losing his title to Cain Velasquez, Lesner himself is not any more interested in independent circuit, as he told to his closed ones. If he decides to sign with WWE, he may well become the top draw in no time, thanks to his wrestling skills and charisma.

Batista
Batista

Batista

Be it as a heel or a face, Batista has always excelled in involving his fans into his actions and that’s why probably WWE misses him most. He is 42 years of age and in such a stage of his career, MMA may not be the most viable option for him. It’s his dream to wrestle in independent circuit, that’s fine. But, it will take only a single loss before he can seriously consider ending his MMA pursuit and returning to WWE. After all, the wrestling matches in WWE don’t put that toll on you that a single MMA match can.

Inclusion of these 3 superstars will certainly make the WWE storylines better. However, it’s time to wait and watch and see if they indeed turn up for the WWE universe or not.
