SuperPump Max with Rich Gaspari @ the 2010 Mr. Olympia

If you haven't heard of SuperPump 250 before, it is a pre workout drink to help increase your energy, blood flow to the muscles as well as improve strength and endurance during workouts. I first tried it when I got a free sample to give SuperPump a try. Just about anything that is supposed to help with energy or endurance has really never done a thing for me but hey, it was free so why not give it a go. So with a less the positive attitude I mixed my first serving and to my surprise, I actually felt a difference. It is one of the only supplements that has ever really improved my workouts. I was stronger, lasted longer doing more reps and got one of he best muscle pumps ever. As mentioned before I have tried other energy and endurance supplements before but they did nothing for me. I have a pretty high tolerance for caffeine so those types of stimulants are also pretty useless for me. I tried creatine when it was all the rage but again nothing, I knew a few people that swore by it. So when I got my SuperPump I was pretty much ready to be disappointed. Funny thing though, even with a negative attitude I was very pleasantly surprised.

As for how much to use, all I needed and still need is the single scoop serving to get great results. The directions say 1 to 3 scoops but really I do fine with just one and I am not a small guy either. That's also a huge plus because it saves me money. I have been using it for 6 months straight and still feel the SuperPump 250 working every time I train. So what are my results?

The most important thing I get from SuperPump 250 is the energy. It feels like a switch turning on with my training. Also for me it's not that jittery, wired energy. Once I start that first set I am totally focused and ready to go at it hard and can keep going hard much longer then without the SuperPump. I can feel myself getting stronger as I go through my workout.

Every week I also saw improvement in my stats as far as weight lifted and reps added. Some days I move up in weight, others reps and sometimes both. I have yet to hit that plateau where you get stuck on the same weight for the same amount of reps.

My body fat has reduced a bit as well and this is with a less then great diet and not much cardio( I really need to change that). I am not ripped to shreds (yet) but I do see more definition in my body and have more muscle mass. There is nothing more motivating then watching your body change for the better.

The name says it all, you will also get a tremendous pump to your muscles. I feel it right from the first set and well after I am done training. It's really like nothing I have ever felt in the gym before. .

Bottom line I think this stuff is awesome. I have recommended it to people and most have had the same experience I have. Now to be honest in this review I did say almost all have had great experiences but not all. I had one of my training clients try it for a couple of weeks and she said she didn't feel a thing. This was a bit odd because she is very sensitive to stimulants and we were more worried about here feeling wired and nauseous. I also know one other guy who said he didn't feel a difference but don't know how hard he was training. Other then those 2 people everyone else I know has not stopped using it since they started.

There are some possible side effects but none that I have personally experienced as well as anyone else I know but here are some things I have read:

The most noted problem I have read about, some people get diarrhea pretty bad from it. The reason for this is the NO2 in it. This actually is trying to clear your body of excess waste. after a while your body will probably get used to it and you should always start off with the smallest dose. I have never had this problem but have had to take the occasional productive trip to the bathroom before hitting the weights but nothing beyond what I would do on a normal day.

For people sensitive to stimulants, avoid taking too close to bedtime. I know one person that can only do a half scoop because it gets him really wired and he never uses it at night. Again I don't get that feeling. If I were to take it on a non workout day I could easily just sit and relax without feeling jittery but that's just me.

As far as Taste I have tried fruit Punch, Refreshing Orange, Blue Raspberry Ice, Lemon Burst and grape. They are all pretty good but a little sweet for me. They say to mix with 4 to 6 oz of water but I use more, closer to 12- 16 oz. The smaller amount of water is to probably get it all in your system quickly so I just have to drink a little more a little faster but I really like the taste of most of them once I add the extra water.

Well, that's my personal experience with Gasparis SuperPump 250. If you have used SuperPump 250 leave a comment below in the comments section. Give your experience positive or negative. I want people to get a good feel for how this product works for others so the more comments the better.

If your looking to buy SuperPump it is in most stores that sell bodybuilding supplements but, The small tub of 1.76 lbs usually goes for $45-$65 plus tax. I found it much cheaper by clicking here and shipping is free as well.

How To Use SuperPump 250

How do you use SuperPump 250? The short answer is just follow the directions but there are variables for different people. One of the biggest variables is your budget so lets check the options for different budgets.

According to the standard directions on training days you take 1-3 scoops, mixed with 4-6 oz. of water per scoop, 30- 40 minutes before training on an empty stomach. On non training days take 1 scoop with 4 oz of water in the morning or around the same time you would take it on training days.

Now if your training 4 days a week and we go by a happy medium of 2 scoops on training days that means in a week you will be going through 11 scoops total. This can ad up to a nice chunk of change so here is what I recommend if your a little more budget conscious as I am right now. To be honest I tried 2 scoops on training days and really saw no difference then when I used 1 scoop so first thing you can do is cut down to 1 scoop on training days. Also I am over 6 feet tall and weigh 240lbs so this will work just fine for just about anyone.

Next is when money is tight you really don't have to take it on off days. You will get a lot more benefit by taking it everyday but if your low on cash just take the one scoop on training days. This is what I have been doing and I am still getting great results with SuperPump 250. By doing this your now only using 4 scoops a week as opposed to 11. Basically a 1.76 lb.tub with 40 servings will last 10 weeks instead of lees then a month. So here is a breakdown of the 3 best ways to incorporate SuperPump 250 into your training.

Option 1 Money is no problem

Take 1-3 scoops on training days and 1 scoop on non training days. This will give you the absolute best results but can ad up cost wise. If you have the cash then this is the way to go.

Option 2 Money is available but still need to watch the budget

Just take 1 scoop per day. on a 4 day training schedule this will save you 4 to 8 scoops and you will still get great results.

Option 3 Very Budget conscious but still want that extra something

Take 1 scoop on training days only. A tub with 40 servings will last almost 3 months and you will still feel a huge difference in your workouts. Even with this option you will love your results.

There are other factors to consider when using SuperPump 250 as well. First always start with the lowest dosage to make sure your body is not too sensitive to the stimulants. I know some people that can only do a half scoop or they get too wired. There is also a stomach issue for some people. You may hit the bathroom more frequently when you first start using SuperPump but your body will get used to it pretty quickly.

There you have it. Your 3 best options for using SuperPump 250.

SuperPump 250 Flavors

Here is a brief rundown of the different flavors of SuperPump 250. I have tried them all except tropical punch, so I will give a very short review of each flavor I have tried. Remember flavor is very subjective so your likes may be a bit different then mine. Also for me all the flavors seem a bit strong so I ad more water then suggested in the directions. I personally like to go about 10-12 oz per scoop but I only use one scoop. If your going to go with 3 scoops that's going to be a lot of liquid to get down so again you will have to play with it to see what works for you.

Fruit Punch

I was very pleasantly surprised by this flavor. For me almost anything that is fruit punch flavored is always way to sweet.. This was really good, not too sweet at all. Again I did use a little more water but still I really like this flavor.

Orange

If you like orange creamsicles you will love the orange. To me thats exactly what it tastes like.

Blue Raspberry Ice

When I first tasted this one it was a bit tart but it kind of grew on me. I know a lot of people who say this is there favorite flavor. It did grow on me and now I would say its in my top 3 flavors

Lemon Burst

This one tastes like a lemon Italian ice. Again this can be very tart, especially if your not a big lemon fan. If you ad a little extra water though its pretty good.

Raspberry Lemonade

This is by far my favorite flavor. It tastes just like a really good pink lemonade to me and I would drink it like a regular drink if I could. In my opinion this is the best flavor of all.

Grape

The Grape is probably the most artificial tasting one of them all. I know a lot of people have said it's there favorite but to me not really. It's very sweet and needs more water to cut the intense flavor. Probably my least favorite of them all.

I have not tried the Tropical Punch so if you have, leave a comment below so we can get an idea how it tastes
