Traveler, foodie, blogger, gamer, futurist. I love technology in general. Writing helps me to share my views.

India is World Champion now. It has been a long wait, exactly 28 years since the last historic moment in Indian Cricket. This match between India and Sri Lanka at Mumbai for the Cricket World Cup 2011 will go down in history as one of the nation’s most significant match. It’s a day that will stay alive in hearts of 1.2 billion Indians forever.

BLOOD SWEAT and BLUE

The Indian captain M.S. Dhoni has done it all now. He is a true leader and perhaps the greatest captain in Indian Cricket history.

The lads of the Indian team has made the country very proud and ensured that the tricolor of our nation will fly ever higher.

Like champions they came and like champions they conquered every other nation to win this cup.

India are World Champions now.

We did it for Sachin and the Nation

Sachin Tendulkar the greatest cricketer of all time has done it all. The only thing missing from his cabinet full of accolades was a world cup medal but now he has that too. The team India said that this win was as much for the country as it was for Sachin. They said that they wanted to win this time for Sachin as he had carried the burden of the nation for the past 21 years. A true master class.

It has been a generational wait for 28 years and finally India is again crowned world champions. The Sri Lankans made a hearty effort by scoring 274/6 but it was no match for Dhoni and his boys. When Sehwag and Sachin were out all seemed lost but Gautam Gambhir and Dhoni established a brilliant partnership that which proved really crucial for the teams win. Gambhir unfortunately missed out on his century getting out on 97 but he will surely set it aside as he is part of the winning team.

Yuvraj Singh who was crowned the man of the tournament scored a 54 runs which playing alongside Dhoni who was declared man of the match for his 91 runs staying not-out.
