Contrary to what might be written in the product description, this is really a Trijicon TA31-ECOS. Included red dot is a Trijicon RMR01 3.25 MOA unit. Quite frankly, Amazon has the best price out there on this particular optic. I just wish they could accurately describe it. I bought it taking a chance that it was the TA31-ECOS and not the TA31-A as mentioned and am glad to have discovered that I was correct..
Anyway, not too much to say in terms of the actual product. If you're buying a Trijicon ACOG, you already know what to expect. What you get is typical Trijicon quality. Everything from the optical surfaces to the ARMS mount are just about perfect. The reticle is a standard 100-1000m cross that can be used on an M4 or M249 SAW. The illuminated center does allow for implementation of BAC shooting with both eyes open. The reticle is also dual illuminated through the use of tritium and/or fiber optic.

Acog 4 X 32 Scope Dark Earth Brown Dual Illiminated Crosshair.223 Ballistic Reticle
In daylight the fiber optically illuminated reticle allows for quick target acquisition, while at night the tritium illumination takes over. The Trijicon Advanced Combat Optical Gun sight (ACOG) 4 x 32 Scope TA01-ECOS has a rugged, dependable aiming system with a Bullet Drop Compensated (BDC) reticle calibrated to the trajectory of the 5.56 or .223 cartridge and provides precision aiming for targets out to 1,000 meters, though that's somewhat beyond the effective range of the bullet, at least for most shooters. For close range battle there is a Doctor Optic 7.0 MOA Red Dot Sight mounted on top.

Acog 4 X 32 Scope Full Illuminated Crosshair .223 Ballistic Reticle, Red
Wow, It took trying a lot of different red dots and flips sights to realize that just wasn't getting it. I wasted a lot of money learning the hard way. Save up and buy this. The clarity is so amazing that, I still can't believe it, even after a month. No batteries to buy ever. Just as lite as other optics. remarkable quality. Very easy to zero in. This is not a purchase, its an investment.

Acog 4 X 32 Scope Dual Illuminated 4.0 Moa Chevron .223 Ballistic Reticle, Red
Shoot confidently even once the sun starts to set with the Trijicon ACOG 4x32 dual-illuminated scope. The scope is equipped with a tritium illuminated reticle pattern for use in low light or at night, along with a bright daytime reticle equipped with fiber optics to collect ambient light. This combo design encourages traditional, precise marksmanship with close-in aiming speed, making it ideal for military use. Every feature of the scope's mechanical and optical design was chosen for a single purpose--to provide increased hit potential in all lighting conditions, without failure-prone batteries.

Acog 4 X 32 Scope Usmc Rifle Combat Optic For M4
Being a marine and avid shooter, I know when a piece of equipment works or doesn't. This is by far one of my favorite optics out there. I just received my package today, and it came in perfect condition, and in a timely manner. I instantly attached it to my AR and went shooting. I was able to keep tight groups with both eyes open shooting. I highly recommend for people needing to engage targets 100+ meters. For shorter distances, I recommend attaching a Trijicon RMR mini reflex on top if the money allows. Other than that, works well for anything you might encounter.

Package arrived in only 4 days. Well packed. The scope reticle package was actually the TA31-RMR. It was not the TA31F-RMR which is what I searched Amazon for. This is what a previous reviewer pointed out as well. I could not find this scope cheaper from a well-known reputable site like Amazon. The Trijicon site lists it at $2155. You can find it for a couple hundred dollars cheaper on line from some lesser known site, but I didn't want to risk getting ripped off or the wrong scope to save a couple hundred bucks.
Placed it on my Heckler and Koch MR556. The red dot site is pretty good. It does what it is supposed to do in under 50 meters CQB. I think the EOTech holographic seemed faster and easier on target acquisition.
The ACOG scope quality is excellent. It is a 3.25MOA (not the 4moa listed in description). The optics are definitely better than the EOTech magnifier and about on par with a Leupold. Definitely not lacking on the wow-factor. Only time will tell if the mount is adequate.
You won't be disappointed if you got the funds to spare for this combo. (Review by Dr. Jones)
