Bras For Men | Bra Extenders Extend The Life Of Your Brassieres

Updated on October 13, 2009

Bra extenders mean even this guy can get a bra to fit!

So you love to wear bras, but being a man they're just not sized for you. You need an A or B cup, but you can't seem to find a band size to fit. Most women who have A or B cup sizes tend to be fairly petite little things, so instead of being able to find a bra that fits your manly frame you are stuck with cups that are far too big.

You can always stuff the cups with socks, tissues, or other household items, but if you really want a good fit, you may need to invest in a bra extender. What's a bra extender? It's a peice of fabric that can extend the band size of a brassiere by several inches, perfect for the guy who wants a bra that fits.

How much will a bra extender set you back? Just a couple of dollars, a minimal investment compared to purchasing a whole new bra.

Bra extenders are also useful for being able to keep your old favorite bras in a wearable condition even after you've put on a few pounds. It happens to all of us as we age, and there's nothing sadder than having to retire a favorite bra just because it now makes us look like the Michelin Man when we wear it.

As you'll no doubt have surmised by the bra extenders which are for sale above this paragraph, bra extenders come in a wide range of colors to suit different colors of lingerie.

They also come in either 2 or 3 hook models, though most men seeking bra extenders to extend a petite A cup will probably want the 2 hook model. 3 hook ensembles tend to be reserved for heavy duty applications.

Bra extenders have saved this lady's life more than once, I can tell you. It is handy to have a pack around the house, 'just in case'. You never know if that brassiere you bought online is going to be the right size when it finally arrives at your door. In spite of size conventions, manufacturers seem to take a perverse kind of enjoyment in making each of their bras fit in a slightly different fashion.

So chaps, there you have it! The solution to one of the most frustrating lingerie woes ever. I'd say that a pack or two of bra extenders would be an excellent addition to any guy's emergency lingerie kit (you do have a kit set aside for lingerie emergencies, don't you.)
