Cheap or Free Teeth Whitening
Why whiten your teeth?
Whitening your teeth is one of the easiest ways to take age off of your face. When the strips first came out, I was all over them! And then it came. The sensitivity. My teeth were so sensitive that I was miserable.
I have tried strips on and off over the last ten years. The dentist even gave me some tips - like rub sensitive toothpaste on my teeth before I go to bed and then use the strips in the morning. Didn't work.
But all of the sudden, my teeth are becoming WHITER.
Here's what I've been doing...
abSTAINing
No smoking. No coffee. No tea. That's easy for me since I don't do those anyway. My coup de grâce is giving up soda. But I've done it. Kind of. I had ONE, but for the most part, those are gone. They can really stain, and the ones that don't stain still eat the enamel off your teeth.
Treatment
So following the advice of Dr. Oz, I've been applying a little solution to my teeth. I sprinkle a little baking soda in a condiment cup, then squeeze a lemon right into it. It foams and bubbles, and then I dip a cotton ball in it and apply it to my teeth. I leave it on a few seconds, then brush it off. It has been working beautifully. I only do it once a week, and I have had NO sensitivity issues.
A winning combination
I started my treatments before my soda withdrawal decision to stop drinking sodas, but I think it's the combination that has really helped me. My husband is doing it as well, and also can see a difference after only a few weeks.
If you have trouble with commercial teeth whiteners, I would recommend giving this a whirl! It's cheap, quick, easy, and it works!
