Does Louis Vuitton Go On Sale

Updated on April 2, 2011

LV History Lesson

Louis Vuitton, grew up in the 1800's and was surrounded by French royalty which he used to his advantage to make and design fashion accessories for the wealthy.

The brand name and near perfection of his quality craftsmenship was demanded and expected by his wealthy and affluent list of clientele.

So, this hasn't changed, even down until today. The operation is being run by Daniel Lalund, the president and CEO of Louis Vuitton's North America division.

Designed for Wealthy

Does Louis Vuitton Go On Sale? This question would never be asked by the wealthy and affluent. As a matter of fact, if these luxury, designer handbags were too cheap it would not appeal to them and they would place a lower value on these items.

Wealthy people for the most part enjoy telling others how much they've spent on luxury items because it makes them feel good, important and rich.

Louis Vuitton Retail Sales

Okay, I'll stop picking on the wealthy or affluent. lol. Seriously, we have been in a kind of  recession for the past couple of years and I can honestly say, I have not noticed a drop in the price of LV's current catalog to date.

According to Daniel Lalund, "Louis Vuitton sales don't suffer in downturns." With that said, it could be safe to assume the luxury retailer will not have any sales or drop in they're retail store prices or online catalog. So, if you really won't the best, I guess you'll have to pay for it.

Louis Vuitton Replicas

There is a high demand for these out of reach luxury items from the average consumer and many retailers have cashed in by making high quality replicas, so average folks can afford them.

I can honestly say, that Louis Vuitton probably has never had a sale or ever will go on sale. The prices are the exact same whether you're shopping in a local retail store or e-store.

The only time I have seen the words, Louis Vuitton and Sale in the same sentence is with the hordes of online websites selling replicas. So, Does Louis Vuitton go on sale? I don't think so.

Current Economic Forecast

As you probably have noticed, everything is continuing to go up in price, including: oil, gas, food, clothing and everything else you have to purchase. Will Louis Vuitton handbags and products ever go on sales?  With the current economic forecast, I wouldn't bet on it. Louis Vuitton retail stores are doing just fine, without sales thanks to A-list celebrities and other consumers willing to pay for them.

According to Forbes

Over the 12 months ended in August–a period in which the aggregate net worth of the Forbes 400 Richest People in America rose 8%, from $1.27 trillion up to $1.37 trillion–the CLEWI rose 1%, keeping pace with the Consumer Price Index’s 1.1%.

So, the old saying still applies to day, "The rich get richer and the poor get poorer." Please forgive me, I don't dislike rich folks because I know quite a few of them but I never hear them complain about paying $3000 for an LV handbag from the LV retail store in Miami.

So, everyone is not in a recession or feeling the pressure of the high cost of living. This should help you to appreciate why many of the sought after luxury items have not gone down in price.

Does Luis Vuitton Have Sales?

From our brief discussion and review of the history of the luxury retailer, it gives us a better insight of who these luxury goods were designed for.

During economic hard times these luxury retailers fair very well, so there is no need to drop the prices or put items on sale.

Will Louis Vuitton retail store ever have sales? I doubt it, so if you want a brand new, original Louis Vuitton you'd better start saving!

Take care and thanks for reading.
