Quick Easy Ways To Lose Weight

Lose That Weight Now!

Almost all of us are carrying around a few extra pounds that we could do without. We've tried diets, strict exercise regimes, and they are not easy to stick to. 4 months after giving birth to my son I am struggling to lose an extra 10 lbs. I'm not one for spending hours at the gym or starving myself. So, I turned to my doctor who gave me great advice on quick and easy ways to lose weight.

Weight Loss Tips

Drink Water - Trading in your usual soda and iced teas for water will make a huge difference. Even if you do nothing but this, you will still notice weight loss. Amazing, right?

Do Something - A lot of our eating is out of boredom. So, keep yourself and your mind occupied, even if it's just reading a good book or watching Youtube videos.

Stop Eating Out - I understand that sometimes it can't be helped but the majority of your meals should be cooked at home. And, when you do go out pay attention to what your ordering.

Throw Out The Evil Foods - I'm not saying you can't have any cookies but if your fridge and cupboards aren't stocked with ice cream, cupcakes, brownies, etc. it will force you to eat less of these things.

3 Meals A Day - Eat 3 meals a day that include protein and lots of veggies. Do not skip breakfast! This will only cause you to snack later in the day.

No After Dinner Eating - Enough said.

Use Smaller Plates - I know you heard this before but it's true. Smaller plates cause you to eat less.

White Grains - Stay away from white grains such as white rice, spaghetti, white bread.

Move - You don't have to get a gym membership. Anything will do, dancing around your living room, walking, yoga, etc. The point is to get off the couch and do something.

Get Busy - I mean in the bedroom of course, you'll burn tons of calories!

Working on all these things. The easiest ones for me so far are drinking more water and using smaller plates. I use the plates I use for the kids. Perfect size.

These are great sensible tips! Good to bring it back to whats achievable and not clouding the issues or promising quick results as we all know it takes a bit of hard work and stick to it!

Yes, I'm not good at diets and extreme work outs but these are things that I can do. These are things that anyone can do, which makes them so great.

A lot of great tips here. As a nutritional consultant I agree with all of the suggestions and yes boredom is definitely the biggest thing in our lives which makes us put junk in our mouth.

What I would also suggest is taking it one step at a time, when people try to lose weight, they want to implement everything at ones and it can be hard. Implementing one suggestion biweekely or every month can be easier as you settle into your new lifestyle. :)

Lastly, we are now encouraging people to eat 5-6 times a day (small healthy meals). This will help to keep the glucose levels balanced throughout the day so you won't get hungry and want to eat a whole house. Remember, it's a lifestyle, not a diet.
