How to Make Flower Headbands and Hair Clips With Feathers
This headband and this hair clip is so easy to make!! With each flower, I completely took them apart and removed the centers. With the pink headband, I took the bottom layer of petals and glued the feathers on that layer. Then, I layed the top layer of petals on top. I took my stretchy headband and by hand sewed both layers onto it, with two beads in the center. It was that easy!!
With this orange flower and feather hair clip, I used a small piece of white ribbon to sew my petals, feathers, and beads onto. Then, I cut another piece of white ribbon--about the same size as the first. (Be sure to singe the edges on both pieces of ribbon to ensure that the ribbon won't later unravel.) I then sewed my clip onto the second piece of ribbon. Once that was finished, I glued both ribbons together.
You might be wondering why I sew any of it...why not just glue it all. Well, you can do that if you want. I like the added security that sewing AND gluing provides.

I also decided to make a pink hair clip like my headband. Actually, my daughter decided for me to make it! :o) The headband was made as a birthday present to take to a birthday party she had been invited to. Once she saw it, she had to have one, too.
