Plus Size Scrubs and Medical Uniforms for Women

When I worked in a hospital, as a hard-to-size woman -- pregnant, plus size and petite --I was extremely grateful I didn't have to wear medical scrubs, just a lab coat. Finding uniform scrubs in my petite, maternity and plus size would, I was sure, have been a nightmare.

Until I actually saw some of the cool scrubs some of the large medical staff, nurses, and assistants were wearing. Some of these women were size 3x, 4x and 5x. Then I realized that medical uniforms have come a long way. There really are some cute plus size scrubs (and super plus size) that come in nice colors and cheerful prints, and that don't look depressing. Some of them even looked like classic regular clothes - I like to call those "realware."

Here are some medical uniforms for large size women I've found that look great.

With a fashionable piping, this versatile short sleeve Cherokee plus size scrub top is in a polyester cotton blend.

Most colors are available in sizes 3X, 4X and 5X. The colors are vivid, deep and amazing - not your usual boring shades. The colors available in 5X as of this writing are:
