Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Age Defying Eye Cream Product Review

Updated on September 25, 2014

As a 51 year old woman, I am constantly on a quest to maintain a youthful appearance, whether it be through nutrition or through beauty products. I prefer to use products that are as close to natural as possible, especially when it comes to the products I put on my face. This is why I tried Sibu Beauty’s Sea Buckthorn Age Defying Eye Cream.

The main ingredient in Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Age Defying Eye Cream is Sea Buckthorn, which contains a rich supply of Omega 7, as well as vitamins E and A which makes this product an invaluable oil for a healthy beauty routine. Dr. Oz refers to Sea Buckthorn as a “miracle berry” and states that when used topically it is known to strengthen the epidermis and the body’s cell membranes. A perfect ingredient for an eye cream that claims to be age defying.

This eye cream also contains pumpkin seed extract. Pumpkin contains plenty of antioxidants, enzymes, iron, zinc, vitamins C and K, making its oil beneficial for the skin as well. The antioxidants and vitamins found in pumpkin seed oil helps to rejuvenate and strengthen weakened skin, making this another perfect ingredient for an eye cream.

Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Age Defying Eye Cream also contains extracts from vegetables such as Brussel Sprouts, Mustard, Cauliflower and Cabbage, just to name a few. Vegetables are well known for their vitamins and antioxidant properties, which are both beneficial for maintaining healthy skin.

Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Age Defying Eye Cream claims to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, visibly reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness, moisturizes, is antioxidant rich, and is 100% natural.

Sea Buckthorn Age Defying Eye Cream Video Review

I have been using Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Age Defying Eye Cream for a little over a month now and I can honestly say that it has reduced the appearance of the fine lines under my eyes. The skin under my eyes looks and feels smoother. I don’t have wrinkles under my eyes, but with consistent use, I would imagine that this eye cream could help tighten the skin.

After a month of using this product, I did not notice that it helped to reduce my under eye puffiness. I don’t generally have puffy eyes except for lack of sleep so this is not something I am concerned about for myself. The eye cream does feel cool when applied, so with continued use, it may help reduce under eye puffiness.

Vitamin C is known for lightening skin, which would be an ingredient helpful for dark circles. I don’t have dark circles, but the skin under my eyes does appear brighter and healthier looking.

Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Age Defying Eye Cream contains lots of oils so it is a great moisturizer. The skin under my eyes actually feels much smoother. When I rub my eyes, which I tend to do a lot in the morning, the skin bounces back much quicker than before I started using this product.

I apply the Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Age Defying Eye Cream to the skin under my eyes at night before I go to bed. Because the product is very creamy with oils, I am careful not to apply it too close to my eyes. I did this a few times, and it quickly seeped into my eyes and I felt a slight burning sensation, nothing too horrible though. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do it splash cool water on my face, and I can feel the silkiness of the eye cream as I rub the water over my face.

The ingredients do tend to separate, so I have to give the tube a good shake before squeezing some of the cream out. If I don’t give the tube a good shake, the product comes out oily and with a cottage cheese appearance. Once shaken, the product is nice and creamy. A little bit of the eye cream goes a long way too as I use only a small dab under each eye.

The tube size I purchased through BeautySage was .5 ounces and I believe that it will last me about 2 months, if not a little longer. I could no longer find this product on BeautySage, but I did find it on Amazon.com for $15.62.

Overall I can say that Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Age Defying Eye Cream visibly smooths out the fine lines, as well as brightens and moisturizes the under eye skin area. Because of the ingredients listed, the eye cream is antioxidant rich, and is 100% natural.
