Steps to create 2 unique Personalised phone cases

Updated on January 19, 2016

A mobile phone is very much an essential communication gadget these days and to ensure that our phones are protected from impact, which could be a costly nuisance, a phone case is almost an obvious must-have.

The type of phone case that we decide to get depends on our taste and there are lots to choose from out there. There is also the option to create something unique and exclusive for yourself or as a gift, in the form of a personalised phone case.

For those who would go for personalised phone cases, there is a lot that you can do to get that perfect case for you. It could be as simple as uploading a lovely photo or set of photos or creating something even more exclusive and fashionable.

In this article I will be showing you how you can design a phone case with an embossed effect and comic strip effect.

There are many photo editors that can give us all sorts of effects depending on what we want to achieve and one that I will recommend is Photofiltre.

Photofiltre is a photo editor that can be used to achieve all sorts of effects on our photographs. With Photofiltre, we can retouch our images completely. It is free to download and quite easy to use. The only downside is that it is currently only available on Windows and not on iOS. So, if you have Windows XP, Windows Vista, or the more current Windows operating systems 7, 8 or 10, you can easily download this photo editor online.

Once you download Photofiltre on your PC, open up the image you want to retouch and the rest is easy.

For the embossed effect, click on Filter on the top menu, click on Flatten and then choose the Emboss effect. Check Preview if you like to see what your image will look like when completed. You can also decide to alter the Width. You will find all these functions easy and straightforward to use. You should now have a photo with an embossed effect as you can see below. This can be used to personalise a phone case.

Personalised Phone case with Comic strip Effect Photo

The comic strip effect is equally as easy to achieve as the embossed one above. Again, click on the Filter tab and you will see a dropdown menu. From this menu, select Artistic and then from the menu you see, simply select Comic strip as you can see below. It is a lovely fun image that you can use to personalise a phone cover.

The two effects above are different and unique and will produce different visual results on your phone cover. Again, it is all about what you like.

If you would like to personalise your phone case at Branddis, all that I advise is to ensure that the image you save is at least 300dpi. There are at least 50 different phone cases for you to choose from www.branddis.co.uk. Choose your preferred case and follow the simple instructions to create your unique personalised phone case.
