Sexy waist cincher corsets
Look Sexy, Reduce your Waistline, Smooth your Curves, and Shape your Figure with waist cinchers and underbust corsets
A waist cincher, a waspie, a waist nipper or waist shaper is between a corset and a belt worn around the waist to make the wearer's waist look smaller, creating the illusion of a small waist. Depending on the material used, the model and the person wearing a waspie, a woman can have her waist measurements reduced several centimetres (2 to 4 inches) in only a few seconds.
A waist cincher can be used as slimming underwear or on top of dresses and blouses to corset a dress and create an instant hourglass figure. They achieve this by reducing your waistline and accentuating your bust, cinching you in at the waist and shifting any surplus fat around your middle upwards.

A waist cincher to instantly reduce your waistline
Traditionally, a good waist cincher is boned and back-laced to maintain an hourglass shape. Most waist cinchers cover the waist and a few inches above and below, but there is a great variety of waist nippers. A waist cincher can be as small as a thick belt or as big as a full underbust corset. The one thing in common is that a well made waist cincher will reduce the waistline, smoothing a woman’s curves, enhancing a full feminine bust and a small waist.
Why wear a waist cincher?
If you are new to corsets, waist cinchers and underbust corsets are the easiest ones to get you started as they cover the least amount of the body but offer a firm hold.
Waist cinchers are very versatile as the smallest ones can pass for belts that you can wear to accessorize many outfits.
Classic Waist Cinchers from Vollers
A Waist Cincher or an Under-bust corset?
A classic waist cincher is shorter than an underbust corset and offers less tummy and hip control. However, being cut above the hip it allows hips to spread out freely creating a dramatic shape.
An Under bust corset is longer than a waist cincher therefore offering more tummy control but leaving your bust free.
Buying a waist cincher or an underbust corset.
A well made corset is always pricey as it requires good quality materials and complex construction.
When buying any corset it is important to consider why do you want it. Do you want your corset just for bedroom play? Do you want to wear it once for a special party? Do you want to wear a corset/waist cincher to help cinch in your waist to make it look smaller or help you fit a smaller dress size? Do you want to wear it regularly to help with weight control? Do you want to wear a corset to improve your posture?
If you are wearing your underbust corset only for fun you can buy it inexpensively. For fun use you can choose light weight materials (usually inexpensive) with limited hold for body shaping. Fun underbust corsets and waist cinchers are designed for decoration, to entice and tease your partner.
If you are going to wear your underbust corset on a regular basis it is important that you wear a good and comfortable fit. For regular use you will need strong materials to help with body shaping. If you require firm shape-wear to help reduce your waist measurements you will need a strong corset to resist pressure and restraint effectively your waist without losing its shape or ripping apart. For regular use you really need a steel boned corset and non-stretchy fabric.
Most corsets feature a busk fastening at the front and lacing at the back to tighten or loose the firmness of the corset.
A good corset waist cincher is made from a flexible material (like cloth or leather) stiffened with boning inserted into channels in the cloth or leather.
Beware that a good quality corset waist cincher MUST be steel boned if you want proper support. Plastic boning tends to break and lose its shape being good only for “bedroom” use.

Corsets and waist cinchers need to be broken in over time. To “break in” your corset wear it first for short periods of time and tie it progressively tighter. Do not attempt to lace it very tight and wear it for a long time the first day, you will be uncomfortable. Instead, do it progressively.
A waist cincher, under-bust corset and full corset are only comfortable if they fit properly. Once you have done the laces at the back correctly you will feel well held and comfortable.

The easiest way to get into a corset is with help from someone else to do the back lacing. However, if you are flexible, you can still do it yourself.
- Undo the front clasps.
- Loosen the back laces, enough to put it on comfortably.
- Wrap the corset around your body and do the clasps. At this point your corset should feel loose.
- Reach behind you and grasp the laces. They should end at the waist. Gently pull them together until it feels right.
- Tie the corset and tuck in between your body and the corset any excess lace.
- To take your corset off loosen the laces first before you undo the front clasps.
Taking care of your corset.
Corsets are an investment, if you take proper care of them they will last a very long time in good condition.
- NEVER wash your corset in a washing machine.
- NEVER dry your corset in a dryer.
- After wearing your corset let it air, hang it overnight with the inside exposed to the air.
- Some manufacturers advise you to clean your corset with a cotton ball soaked in vodka to kill the bacteria that cause bad odours.
- Before storing your corset make sure it is fully dry. To store it roll it and keep it in your lingerie drawer.
- ALWAYS follow the manufacturer’s instructions for taking care of your corset.

Corset Sizing guide
The purpose of a corset is to draw you in, and for that reason when buying a corset you should order a waist size two to four inches smaller than your normal waistline, according to how dramatic a change you wish.
Corsets and waist cinchers uplift the breasts, nip in the waist and flatten the stomach, as well as improving posture. This creates a fabulous hourglass shape.
