Finding A Legitimate Internet Business

Updated on October 7, 2017

Welcome readers!

One of the reasons why I am starting this hub is because, this is my way of expressing my own journey from a beginner (0) to expert (hero) hopefully, in the field of online business. So welcome fellow beginners!

As time goes by, the search for a legitimate Internet business is getting harder and harder, although some people say it's getting much easier but more competition. This has been the major goal of so many people around the world during the past fifteen years or so.

In the early 90’s the Internet was just starting. People were looking for a good, legitimate business online. Many people, including myself, were stunned at how powerful the Internet was and what it could do for us.

We heard many stories of how easy it was to make good money on the Internet. Some sold books from their basement, and thought that they could do the job without difficulty, on no account expected the strength of traffic, and suddenly, boom! Here come flood of people ordering from their website, something that they have not before. I have known this story for many years, and I'm sure you have heard this too.

I used to surf the Internet and discover many business opportunities. These were out of the ordinary for me and at the same time very perplexing because of so many business ideas.

If you have a limited funds and knowledge to start a legitimate Internet business and you do not not know how and where to start, I suggest the following:

  • Borrow books from the library and read them. (Books on search engine optimization, affiliate marketing, blogging, computers etc.) You could also print some articles from the Internet that is related to your interest and read them.
  • Do some research on the Internet and look for free ways to start a business.
  • Join forums, ask questions, and read the advice of experts. Many of whom give excellent advice.
  • Read other peoples blogs, contents of their websites, articles, and give comments to their work.
  • Make a list of websites, authors, articles, blog sites, tools, etc. that can be useful for later use.
  • Startswriting down any thoughts that may come to mind, so you will now forget any good ideas that maybe useful.
  • Join also some social networks like face book, twitter, etc. and build contacts.

There are many legitimate Internet business out there but first we must get ourselves ready and gain more knowledge before we start.

First I would recommend to start a free Blog site either at wordpress.com or blogger.com for you to get started without spending any money, assuming that you already gathered enough information from the Internet and from reading books. You can always move to your own domain name and host, once your free website gets better, have more contents and can attract more traffic.

And what is this trend called Blog?

The word blog is a combination of Web and Log, hence Blog. It is similar to a diary which you can update whenever you have something to say or write in. You can tell your story, daily life, hobbies, art and anything you are passionate about. It is nice to put some photos as well as videos on your blog.

You can also make money from your blog site by using ads from Amazon, Google adsene, etc., so when readers click the links or buy products through the links on your site, you earn a commission. As a matter of fact, this is one of the reasons why people start a blog, to earn a living.

I hope I will see you again on my next Hub. Stay tuned.
