Halloween Watch

I used to memorize the song by the legendary Stevie Wonder, titled " I Just Called To Say I Love You"...during my elementary years. But every time I came across with the word, Halloween, I will ask my elder sister regarding its meaning. It's famous among kids in the USA and other English-speaking countries, but here in the Philippines, kids of today are just getting the hang of it...the treats, the costumes and all.

As my young mind imagined all the scary stories that included Jack The Ripper, big bats, black cats, flying brooms, witches and ghost stories, I can't help but marvel about those unbelievable stories.

Halloween Safety? With all the little busybodies, children mostly, donning their unique costumes and waiting eagerly and giddily of sweet treats (candies, chocolates)..parents' guidance should always be ready.

Collecting treats from the neighborhood can be exciting, but those 'tricky' people can hurt these kids who are weak enough to level up with them.

Although, the overall theme of Halloween is scary, in order to celebrate the triumph between good and evil...and all those bad spirits returning to the underworld (so they say, who used to roam the Earth during this day), the happiness among kids is immeasurable.

Spoilers should pay their dues once they hurt any of the kids who like trick or treat.

With all the amenities or luxuries we are experiencing nowadays, it is inevitable to involve our kids with our lifestyle and good living, even during Halloween.

Organizing Halloween parties for kids, can be tiresome but the participating tots can give back a real smile on your face. Most parents can get exhausted following every move of their kids, especially the mothers.

With the help of this special neighborhood watch, the Halloween Watch, you can be sure that the safety of the children will be assured.

In the Philippine setting, kids used to roam narrow streets full with little vehicles carrying passengers, the pedicab (three-wheeled tricycle, motorized or not) or just motorcycles that can sideswipe or hit them accidentally during the celebration.

I am sure in the USA or Canada, or even in UK and other parts of the world celebrating Halloween, there will be 'police visibility' in the cities or counties to ensure the security of the place.

Halloween Watch should primarily composed of parents, youth volunteers and the police to cuff violators that can harm your kids in any 'tricky' ways they've devised.

I am sure this will be both an easy but intricate task to all involve. As long as the communication line is open, the GPS (global positioning system) is functioning at your kids' cellular phones, accidents will be avoided and the perpetrators will be punished.

Caution: Almost all the people in the community used to wear minimal or full costume, so, you'll never know what will be the 'tricks' that your child can actually received from mild, bad and gruesome pranksters.
