My True Love
My true love arrived and slowly but surely,
Brick by brick
He tore down the wall
I had built up over the years to protect
Myself from imposters
Like the ones I allowed access to my heart
In the past
Then you walked into my life
My true love
And I welcomed you across
The thresholds of my world
And you walked through the
Rooms in my mind and I
Revealed to you all my hopes and dreams
You performed open heart surgery
On my heart
And my heart healed
So I could love you
Something no one else could ever do!

No Duplications

A love like ours cannot be duplicated

When we touch fireworks are created

When there were no words to say

There would be better days

Life without you would tear apart my soul

Together we are one

Together we are whole

The love that we share

Could be called unique

Because there is nothing more important to me

A love like ours can never be duplicated

When we kiss fireworks are created

To all of the lovers

Keep love alive in your hearts

It is the only thing that keeps

Things from falling apart

 

My Gift To You

I cannot give you diamonds

Or a mansion on the hill

Cover you in silk garments

Even though it is my will

I only have my love to give

And the promise it will last

When the life of material things

Have long ago passed
