Packaging

So today I opened , photographed and listened to the Monster Purity Pro headset I won in Barcelona . All I can say is that I am extremely impressed with every aspect of the things !! The packaging itself is very impressive before you even get to the goodies inside. The main box and the internal one have magnetized lids/flaps on them along with small ribbon tabs to pull to open them up, not a massive thing, but cool and gives an impression of quality that continues as you open the packaging up to expose the headset inside along with two smaller boxes, one containing a really nicely made and branded carrying case and the other containing your instructions, a colour coded 3.5mm wired connector, Yellow in my case which also matches my Lumia 920 and a charger for the headset with a standard micro usb lead ( although you can basically charge up the Monsters with any standard usb phone charger) these boxes frame the clear plastic packaging that the headset itself it attached to when displayed in the box.

Connecting and using the Headset

So once all the boxes are open and the battery is charged you can basically connect anything with a 3.5 mm output to the Purity Pro, but the clever thing is to use the nfc connectivity, which luckily for me, works with my Lumia, my Nokia 808 and my Nokia N9 but I am pretty sure they would connect to any Bluetooth enabled phone by a standard pairing. The sound quality from my time spent using the headset today was simply stunning, both volume and quality were great, no distortion even at highest volume and with the automatic noise cancellation the ONLY thing you can here is your music and as the over ear design holds the sound in so well, people close by have to ask you what you're listening to not tell you to turn it down !!

The headset has a full set of controls for your music for volume, skipping tracks and volume and also has a control button to make and answer phone calls as well as a microphone for use during calls. After nfc connection to the Lumia a menu pops up on the phone for you to adjust or toggle certain settings and I've posted some screen shots to show you.

The headset itself is extremely well made, the controls on the back of the ear cups are easy to operate, the sliding mechanism to enlarge the headpiece is solid but smooth and the padding that sits on your crown works really well, the looks of the Monsters ? Well judge for yourself, I've tried to photograph everything as well as I can and I thing everything can be clearly seen and I really think they are a great quality accessory , certainly the best I've ever listened to, although my ears may not be the best qualified to judge :-)

Thank You

Just remains to thank you for reading, to thank Nokia for being so great to me and making such fantastic products and to thank the members of Team Steve who all worked together in Barcelona to win the Purity Pros .
