Kindle DX versus the iPad

Updated on August 30, 2017

HERE'S WHAT I THINK

Kindle DX versus the iPad

Researching and reading the many reviews and information in comparing the Kindle DX versus iPad, one of these is on my Christmas wishlist.

In this challenge, I am a pretend personal shopper for Oscar. Oscar wants to find the perfect gift for his wife. He has heard so many good things about the Kindle. He knows his wife would like more than what the basic Kindle offers. This is where the Kindle DX comes in. Oscar's wife loves to watch movies and socialize on various networks. Will Kindle DX be the right choice for this?

The iPad is a tablet computer that was released on April 3, 2010. It comes from Apple Inc. Like iPhone and iPod Touch, the iPad is controlled by a multi-touch display. With iPad, one can read ebooks, watch videos and many other online activities.

I must give Oscar the right facts. So far, I am leaning towards the iPad.

Apple iPad Accessories - Don't Forget the Case

What is your opinion? - Do you own one of these?

Presently I don't own either one of these, which makes my job as a personal shopper even harder. I do know that Apple stand up for their quality products. We recently bought out daughter an iMac. So far, she loves it better than the Windows PCs. The worries of it crashing and hackers getting through aren't there. Apple has been known to be pricier. But they stand by their work.

Shop until you drop with Galatea the Sea Goddess

This week I am a personal shopper while Galatea the Sea Goddess is off to the Greek Isles for a little rest. Galatea handed over three files full of personal information about her clientele.

Today I am shopping for Oscar the Octopus. Oscar can't decide what he wants to buy his wife and needs a little help. He knows his wife has been talking about a tablet that she can take anywhere and read online books. But she has also been telling him that she would like something thin and easy to carry where she can check her email, watch videos and visit some of her favorite social networks like Squidoo.

He asked me if I would do a comparison on Kindle DX and iPad. Along with your help in the duel, Oscar will be able to decide.
