Sony VAIO Accessories

This is the latest laptop I bought and as there are practically tons of Sony VAIO accessories available on the market these days, some I already had or knew about and others were completely new to me, as a 'gadget girl', I simply had to check out all the goodies to be found for the VAIO pc. Here I will show you my findings on the most popular and some more exotic accessories for the Sony VAIO laptop / tablet, as well as a few cool gadgets that you can get for you own notebook as well.

From keyboard and laptop skins, to bags, cases and sleeves, to batteries, to mice and speakers, you will find here pretty much anything you need to make the best out of your gadget.

I find the cooling pad very useful and I had one practically for every notepad I owned, starting from my old Toshiba, to my latest VAIO design. Basically what it does is keep the RAM from overheating. I learned I needed a cooling pad once when my notebook kept shutting down without a warning. Quite annoying, I must say, when you're working online, you're in the middle of an article, for example, and the laptop just shuts down on you.

Especially important is when the notepad is an expensive one, because a cooling pad can considerably lengthen the its life shelf.

One way to check whether you need a cooling pad is by feeling with your hands the bottom - is it very hot? Or if you have it on your lap, does it literally burn your legs? This is when the pad is really a necessity to have. And trust me, you'll be glad you got it, especially with the relatively low cost of them these days.

While these are the most popular Sony VAIO accessories, I have discovered a few more goodies to show you. You might not especially NEED them, but you might definitely WANT them :-)

One of the really useful gadgets for my notepad is this cooling pad. It brings it higher so there is proper airflow below. This extends the life shelf of it considerably as well. Also what I liked about it is that it positions the notepad to the right angle for proper ergonomics and natural typing.

Note: This cooling pad works well with every laptop you might have - even if it's not a Sony VAIO.

This is the very keyboard skin I have for my Sony VAIO. It is one of the official skins made by Sony.

I like the color, it's a bright off-turquoise which matches quite well with some of my other gadgets. Fits pretty much every Sony VAIO perfectly so no matter which version you have, you can get this one.

Officially Sony says that it fits the: CB- Series, F2 Series, E- Series (also fits our 15.5" & 17.3" notebook keyboards), but it fits pretty much all VAIOs.

The material is silicone rubber and it feels nice to the touch. It fits snugly and it keeps you keyboard free of dust, dirt and anything you're eating around your pc (I know I do).

Of course as soon as the Sony VAIO hit the shelves, manufacturers have already added their own keyboard skins to the arsenal of their other selective accessories. Here are displayed some of the best, nicest, brightest and cutest skins that you will find.

Shown here is the black one keyboard screen by Cosmos. It fits perfectly the CA series.

And here are some of the best protective cover skins for the Sony VAIO made by other manufacturers. It is all about variety and more (and better) choices available to us. And as you will see, some are far away from the classic (and sometimes boring) covers made by Sony.

The laptop cover shown here really caught my attention when I first saw it. If I didn't already have my official Sony cover, this is the one I would have gotten.

One of the most popular Sony VAIO accessory is the messenger bag. For carrying your laptop, you can choose between a wide assortments of bags, cases and pouches as well, depending on what exactly you need. You will find many made by Sony and some made by other manufacturers. Of course with the Sony brand you know that the bag will fit your laptop perfectly. With other manufacturers it's always good to check the customer reviews for anything amiss.

Having said that, have fun perusing the great selection of Sony carry bags/cases/pouches/nagpacks.

I find it very difficult to work on my notebook without a mouse, so I ordered the mouse in the picture above with my VAIO. They both came at the same time and I love it. It's smoth, works easily and one of the reasons I chose it it's because it's a laser mouse. For me it makes all the difference in the world (also is great for a longer overall battery life).

AC power adapters are a must for any notepad, and luckily there is a whole range made for this brand especially. With most of these adapters and batteries you can even work while you charge it from totally empty.

The one shown is what I have as well. It works beautifully, it's sturdy and so far I've never had problems with it. Recommended.
