The Best iPad Arcade Game

Updated on December 28, 2012

The iPad has really been a great addition to the available toys in this 21st century. Most times, it has been able to keep me company to the extent of me ignoring the lovely humans around. The iPad is a complete entertainment hub with the ability to fully satisfy the user without any dull moment. The numerous apps on the iPad makes this possible but the most intriguing are the games. These wonderful apps make the iPad a wonderful companion any day.

Unlike most other apps, the games have this special ability of keeping you glued for hours. When a new high score has been set, you always want to better such scores. This makes you to continue playing the game for countless hours. After trying out several iPad games, although i have not been able to go through them all, i have been able to pick out the best iPad game in terms of number of downloads and the frequency of play.

Temple Run

Temple Run is an arcade game without a end. It is available on iOS and Android systems. Developed by Imangi Studios and released in August 4, 2011, It can be considered as a perfect throwback to old-fashioned arcade games. One interesting feature i like about this game is the simplicity of play. Although it is very easy to get the basics - avoid obstacles by jumping, sliding, turning left and turning right - it is also pretty much difficult to master the game. The game has an addictive factor and attractive graphics that keeps you coming back for more because it is simply better than most other smartphone games.

Originally, the game was only available for the App Store, but it was later released on Google Play. The game was released for the Android platform on March 27, 2012, a month later than expected and hit a million downloads under 3 days. In the iTunes Store, it was included in the top 50 most-downloaded apps in December 2011, and eventually became the number one free iOS app. It has also reached the position of the top grossing iOS app.

From the little observations i have made, temple run is the most played game on iPad. The developers of the game has revealed that it has surpassed 100 million downloads just a year after it was first released. After Temple Run: Brave's release on the App Store, the game topped the charts as the most-downloaded paid game.

It is easy to see that Temple Run is the best game available on iPad.

My Temple Run Experience

Most times, I find it really hard staying awake all night to study. I really love to be active in the day and I don't joke with my sleep at night. I never believed something could actually entertain me throughout the night until i discovered Temple Run.

As i said earlier, the game is really addictive. Taking a first glance at the game, i wasn't too interested in it but after playing my first game, i fell in love with it. I played all day and all night. The factor that should have discouraged me which was not beating the high score, kept spurring me on to keep playing. And even after setting a high score, i always want to improve on it.

In a community of iPad users playing games, most play Temple Run constantly and are addicted in a way. Temple Run is fun, simple, entertaining and addictive. If I ever pick up your iPad, I'm about to play Temple Run. Permit me to run off and play some more Temple Run.
