Freezing In A Winter Wonderland
Winter Again?
If you live in the Midwest, and you have not been in a coma for the last month, then I am sure that you have noticed the weather. I sure have. I have been stuck indoors for the last week or so, and I am starting to go stir crazy. Maybe it's just me, but I think that there can definitely be something called "too much snow." Right now I have about 3 feet surrounding my house, and my county has been on a level 3 snow emergency for the last 3 days. Is this stressful? You betcha!
Now, don't get me wrong, the snow and such is not all bad. I will admit that it makes for a pretty neat view as I look out my window. I just wish that I could enjoy the snow while the temperature was a little closer to 75 degrees. Right now I am wearing gloves because my heater went out, and it can't be fixed until the spare parts arrive. I have no idea how long it takes spare parts to arrive in a level 3 snow emergency, but I really don't want to wait that much longer!
So I think I've laid my case out that too much snow is a very bad thing, but just complaining is doing me no good, and I would like to have something positive come out of all of this trouble. So what have I done these last couple days? For one thing, I let my inner child out. I donned my coat, my snow boots, and my hat, and I went out to make snowmen. Don't get me wrong, making snowmen is very fun, it's just that I can only do it so much before I get bored. So I decided that I would vent using hubpages, and I would humbly ask for suggestions on what I can do to entertain myself. Who knows, maybe we could have a pretty good discussion, and the next time that winter rolls around, we will all be prepared for it ;-)
