His, Hers, and sometimes Their, Opinions

Updated on February 3, 2011

His, Hers, Theirs? What?

When my husband and I are trying to decide what to do and where to eat with our family, we are often at a loss. Then we do what everyone does, google it! Generally we end up with a list of only the most advertised and commercial establishments. This makes sense I know, but is not terribly helpful. So I thought, what if I wrote my reviews of local and not so local attractions and eateries and shared them? Then my next thought was, but the husband does not always agree with me on what food is good and which places are fun. SO I thought, what if we both gave our opinions and readers can decide whose perspective most matches their own and go from there? For just a moment I am thinking it is brilliant! But of course, maybe no one will agree with us! Tragedy! But no, if you do not agree with us you can just go to the places we hate and avoid the ones we like! That wraps up explaining the His and Hers, but what about Their? That would be the four kids, who do not come everywhere with us, but when they do,they have opinions as well (we tried hard to teach them not to, but alas...).

Background Information

Him: He is a 31 year old lover of Chinese, Italian, sushi and seafood. He enjoys fishing, boating, movies, bowling, darts, billiards, wine, cheese, good liquor, hiking, dirt biking and more I will add as they come to mind. He is not a social butterfly but would rather be around family.

Her: I am 31 as well I also love pretty much all the foods he does, though I am less enthusiastic about cheese and sausage. I enjoy fishing, boating, reading, movies at home, billiards, darts, any liquor, hiking, and many more I am sure will be added at some point.

Them: The four kids consist of a 13 year old girl, a 12 year old boy, an 11 year old boy and a 9 year old girl. They have a very diverse palate for their ages, like most any outdoor activities and hopefully their opinions will help you decide if a place is good to bring your kids.

What we are not: Food critics, travel professionals, anything but your everyday family of misfits.

Where we are from: We grew up around Tampa, FL, we now live near Gainesville, FL. We lived in Colorado and Ohio in between. Most of our reviews will be local near Gainesville or within a reasonable drive.

I hope all that helps you decide if our articles will help you decide where to go and what to do!
