Raised in Bryn Mawr, Alex Unruh embarked on his educational odyssey at Gladwyne Elementary School and later progressed to Welsh Valley Middle School. His early education was crucial in shaping his intellectual and athletic pursuits. He showcased exceptional talent in sports, particularly baseball and squash, which became a significant part of his life as he matured. His educational journey included a substantial stint at Westminster School in Simsbury, Connecticut, before he returned to Harriton High School to complete his high school education in March 2022.
Throughout his time at Harriton, he excelled in multiple sports, playing varsity basketball and baseball and leading as captain of the squash team. He later served as a cashier and server at Zoe's Kitchen, enhancing his customer service skills. He currently works at the Philadelphia Country Club, where he is involved in managing the bag room and occasionally caddying.
