I am the mother of two grown daughters and an almost 8 year old son. I have grown tired of working for people who don't appreciate honest, faithful employees and like to link one employee's errors or wrong doings into the whole staffs fault. Some of you may recognize this as working in restaurants. However, there are some good restaurant bosses out there and unfortunately I had one ten years ago and messed it up over personal stuff (I definitely learned my lesson on that one). I am 45 and began college at the age of 36 only to find out I was in my first trimester in my second semester. So, life happens and I still have to finish two classes to get my degree with a paralegal certificate. I am seeking business opportunities at the moment and I am working at it for what seems like 24 hours a day. I lost my best friend, Pano, in July to cancer. He was a 10 year old rottweiler who I had raised since he was six weeks old. He was also the best dog ever and I am not just saying that because he was mine, everyone who met him told me that. Anyway, I decided to dedicate the rest of my life to helping dogs in his honor. Right now, I am working with an organization that puts teens in kiddie jail, with dogs that can't be adopted, and we teach the kids how to train the dogs so the dogs can find homes and the kids feel a sense of purpose.
Update: I have started my own blog about positive change and inspiration if anyone is interested. You can find it at the3dmom.com
