Originally from Abhazia, Alex attended schools in Belarus Republic, Russian Federation, Azerbaijan and Syria. At an early age he experienced other cultures. He then enrolled at Belarus State Engineering Academy and earned a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering. After college Alex moved to Northwest and quickly fell in love with its diversity, culture and history. Alex brings many assets to his web presence from a distinguished background in engineering, people skills from his experience working for Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon and his building / remodeling expertise.
For downtime Alex enjoys scuba diving (Divemaster PADI), spearfishing, gourmet cooking, wine making, tennis (4.0), and boating with his family and friends. He is a published author (non-fiction) with two new books coming (cooking and fiction).
