Ann M Reid, RN, graduated from Hahnemann University with a degree in Nursing and from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne with an M.A. in Creative Writing. A freelance writer, Reid is interested in health, food safety and food-- particularly slow food, and delectable peasant dishes "like my southern Italian Grandmom used to make!"
While living in the UK, Ann attended the MIddlesborough College Kirby Culinary School and became a trained chef. Additionally, she completed an advanced baking and pastry diploma course at the well-known Betty's Cookery School in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
Besides her love of cooking, reading and (writing!) historical fiction, Ann is a passionate organic gardener, and with her husband, is a beekeeper at their home on the banks of the Susquehanna River.
