Vocational Experiences: I am currently licensed in 6 eastern US states for property, casualty, life, accident, health & allied lines, and was appointed with many insurance carriers over the years. I started in the insurance industry in 1983 and learned the ropes from the most wonderful employer a newbie could ask for. A captive agent took me under his wing and taught me frontline underwriting, sales, customer service, and claims. I became his office manager and helped grow his agency for 5 years.

I then took a hiatus from insurance and directed my energy toward the music industry and opened a music studio. I taught private voice, show choir, Kindermusik, and musical theatre to adults and children in the professional, church, and community settings. I also performed live and made a few TV appearances. All of this lead me to recording a CD, which was an amazing experience. I was blessed and honored to have worked with extremely talented producers, engineers, and musicians from Philadelphia to NYC. The CD was released in 2006 and continues to sell on four continents through itunes.

I re-entered the insurance world in 2008, but in the role of an independent agent this time. I noticed concerning changes in the industry that were not in the best interest of the consumer, and felt I could make a difference if I could influence fellow agents. After a few years in sales, I was excited to be promoted to Training & Development. I felt the best sales tool for both company and consumer was knowledge, and this was my chance to help everyone! As a Sales Agent, I educated my customers so they could make the best decisions for themselves. As an Agency Trainer, I supported agents in becoming knowledgeable, moral resources that could create comprehensive insurance plans for their clients. In my current position as an independent insurance consultant, my passions for insurance and education have finally merged in the way I dreamed for many years.
