I am a product of Catholic schools and growing up in Berkeley, California where free spirits were born. The riots and hippies on Telegraph Avenue during the Vietnam war remain a vivid part of my education. I'm learning to live without husband, THANK GOD!, the children are grown, the menopause has arrived, and I'm on my own in a new place for the first time in my life; well not completely alone. I share my life with an English Bull Terrier, a blue-eyed Malamute, and a Mexican Black Kingsnake. My experiences as a performer, police officer, and now teacher have made for an interesting ride. I'm discovering how to live in the present, without regrets about the past. I'm fulfilling a dream of being a writer and finishing my MA in English because I love writing and need to do something creative with my life. I hope to add little bits of whatever insight and wisdom I've learned along the way. Enjoy the journey!
