Heads Up! - November 2010 update
Just a quick note to say I'm blown away by the skyrocketing success of the members of a great 4.5-month-old site... It is something that can make you a lot of money quite painlessly. It is not even necessary for you to refer anyone else (unless you choose to).

Bio Update - May 2010
The cat is out of the bag, so to speak. I'm coming clean...
I am not a cat.
There. I've said it. I've been hiding behind the cat pic and internet aliases for a long time. Perhaps I'm shy by nature. And maybe someone once told me, "Don't give out your real name. The internet is a dangerous place."
Piffle. You are who you are, on the internet and in real life. If someone wants to find you, they will.
I am Barbara Dingwall, also known as WidgetWoman and Online Income Trainer.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm not against using an alias Widget Woman is a name you're likely to remember.
Barbara Dingwall – although a very good name – is harder to recall. And there’s more than one Barbara Dingwall out there, too.
Why the name WidgetWoman? Because I worked with The Widgeteers early in my online marketing career.
For a while I was also SWOM Trainer, until SWOM admin kindly asked me to drop that name. People were mistakenly thinking I was part of the Swom management team.
I wasn't setting out to be anything in particular when I joined SWOM.com.* But I came, I SWOM, and I conquered. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)
"Cat Woman morphs into Swomie!" was the headline after a few days on SWOM.com. And it didn't hurt a bit.
It's because SWOM works. You go Gold. You make connections. You get paid. No problems with that!
As any good marketer should, I started writing about SWOM.com. I probed, I tried out, and I got hooked. -- It’s a jungle in there!
SWOM is a lush, fertile jungle of hope and opportunity.
So.... having just done my own early SWOM research, I took it upon myself to answer Member questions here and there. It’s in my nature to be helpful.
The trainer idea emerged after my first evening on SWOM.com. While making new business friends, I came across numerous blank personal profile pages, many dull descriptions and (horror of horrors!) many profiles that were chock-a-block with typos and grammar errors.
SWOM, wide open as it is, could become a colossal hit in the marketing world, or a colossal failure.
The thought of these two extremes of possibility confirmed me in my decision. I would do my part to make SWOM the best it can be.
I began styling myself as a SWOM trainer. I got the Twitter name, bagged the website, and planned out some articles.
Call it a professional deformation if you will, but I really and truly have a hard time letting typos slip by me. I can’t stop myself from offering corrections. (I was a translator and editor for over 30 years.)
The long and the short of it is this. I have become a de facto go-to girl and resource person on SWOM.com.
People really got connected with me on Swom, due to the tips I was giving them. Some still call me Swommy, Swommy Mommy, Mommy Swam and Miss Swom. I answer to all.
Oh, and I'm also good at helping people start building a residual income online at websites other than SWOM, as well.** ***

And now, back to the old Bio I wrote a few years ago...
~~~~~
Our four-kid, two-cat household has to run as efficiently as possible. (Read, I can't live with total chaos anymore.)
We're always on the lookout for things that can help us live better, learn something useful, or save time. Of late, I've taken a real shine to home robots!
As a world traveller, translator, dancer, health advocate and mom, I may come up with some surprising HubPages. Stay tuned!
Welcome to you! Happy Birthday to me!
