60Hello world. This is my bio. In a website profile you usually tell others on the site who you are and what you have been doing in the past. While I think this is good I also think you should say something about why you are on Squidoo and how you came to be here. Even though I am a American, I have been retired now for about two years from a major UK company. Since retirement I have spent quit a lot of my time on the computer, not just randomly going from one website to the next in a complete daze but to see what I can do with this thing called the World Wide Web. While my retirement money is okay it is not great so I thought I would try to make a living from the internet. I have started three websites, two blogs and sell items on an auction website. (No it is not EBay, there are other auction websites out there). One of my websites, which concerns working at home, has over 1,500 twitter followers and gets about 3000 visitors a month, so I must be doing something right. However, saying all that I have become more and more frustrated. With a website or blog the only thing you can really write about is your particular niche. While this is okay I find it does get somewhat repetitive and I thought would it not be good to write about anything that you really wanted to write about at any-time you wanted to write. It might be about working from home but it could just as easily be about the latest computer game, the latest trendy clothes, a film that you have just seen, your vacation or even about lingerie. What I am saying is Squidoo gives you the platform to write about whatever you like even if it is not in your niche or business area and you might still make a few pennies out of it. So that is why I am here, I hope the creative juices will expand into more interesting areas then I write about at present. All the best.
