I live in the pacific northwest, I'm quietly social distancing and surviving the current pandemic with my dog Maverick. I believe in, and actively utilyze positive training techniques with Maverick, and as a result, he's a great lil buddy (and is currently laying next to me on the couch as I write this). He manages to be both well behaved (mostly) and spoiled.
I was also diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in January, 1992. At thirty one years old (gasp) I am lucky enough to have lived with this disease for many years, and therefore, have a lot of successes and failures to share with my readers. I look forward to sharing and posting articles pertaining to my experience with insurance, medical devices, and specific drugs pertaining to my treatment. Sometimes, I might even include pictures of things like my insulin pump and my CGM (continuous glucose monitor).
Twenty - twenty has given me - like so many others - new lifeskills which I never knew I might have. I have learned to follow recipes successfully, and, to even keep plants alive (something not possible with even resurrection plants before!). I put together an electric guitar from a kit on Amazon, I've built a mini-gym in my apartment (sorry neighbors), and, my boyfriend and I have started playing chess together. Not being at work due to being high risk for the more scary side effects of COVID19, I have also spent an increased amount of time writing stories, both short and novel length. Who knows? Maybe I'll even get one published.
Lastly, and quite possibly the most boring thing about me is the rate at which I consume television and movies. I love a good story, be it on Netflix, Hulu, Prime, or Youtube, and I am happy to sit with my dog and watch something while typing away on my computer. And if you're not sure of what there is to watch, I'll definitely have some ideas for you.
Thank you for reading through my bio, I chose to be completely honest (with the exception of my name), rather than tease with a short story about me being someone more exciting than I am. I'll keep bringing you my offerings, and hopefully, you'll keep reading them.

This is about my own fledgling exploration into what "fit" really means, and how it may need to be redefined going forward.
