On October 7, 1853, four phantoms visited a small church in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Their visit was significant as it foretold the coming of a tragic loss of life. This story is so well known, Canada Post featured the spirits on a stamp issued in 2016.

Hatley Castle has a reputation for being haunted. Many have seen previous owners, James and Laura Dunsmuir—long after they died—in the castle. Other ghosts also call this Edwardian Castle home.
