I am a family-man living in Upminster (United Kindom). In January 2010 I was diagnosed with Leukaemia. During my first stay in hospital the Registrar called in my wife to tell her that they had done all they could and that nothing was working and so she should prepare herself for the very worst. My wife's reply was to the effect "Thank-you for the facts. However, we are Christians and believe that Tony will recover." Following a 2nd course of chemotherapy and bone-marrow transplant I was formally confirmed to be in remission in December 2010. Unfortunately, I relapsed in autum 2011 and had 2 further intensive courses of Chemotherapy and a 2nd sequential bone marrow transplant in January 2012. This time the bone marrow transplant "Took" and I am once again in remission. During this time my faith was severly tested. I doubted whether I really did believe in God at all. Looking back (from a much better position) I now believe that God was speaking to me through this most bleak time of my life, He was saying "Tony, will you trust in me even when things arn't going well and there seems to be nothing happening? My reply was far from immediate, but when it did come it was the simplest of answers "Yes Lord." The simplicity of this reply has impacted me; I now understand the Child-like faith that Jesus speaks of-a faith so deep that it is not effected by strong argument one way or the other, but a faith born out of relationship. "Yes Lord." has been a liberating experience for me. There is always hope.

Unfortunately I lost my job. My former employers contending my job had "....disappeared." rather than saying I was being made redundant or dismissed through reason of ill-health. So employment proceedings have been issued! The final hearing is due to be heard in march 2013.When the case came before the Employment Tribunal, my former Employers dicided thet they didn't want to run their defence before the Court and so settled for the full redundancy payment. I am now back working for 2 sets of Solicitors, where I work at least 2 days per week. I'm hoping this will increase at the end of January 2013.

On a happy note to end my youngest Son got married on the 20th October 2012 and I was there to see it and dance at his wedding! Life is Good! Tony
