Hello and welcome. My name’s Chazz and I’m a Professional Interior Decorator/ Consultant/ Retailer, amateur photographer, cook, gardener, handyman, and old house nut currently restoring an 1880 Victorian house and garden. You will find all of these interests, and a few others, in my posts here.
My decorating and consulting firm, and its retail divisions, Restoration Fabrics & Trims and Old House Interiors, specialize in helping others create livable yet historically sensitive rooms appropriate to both the style and period of the home as well as the owners' lifestyles and budgets.
I write about a wide range of topics related (or not) to my vocation and avocations, from general interior design tips to decorating historic homes to an occasional rant or musings on just about anything having to do with Old Houses. You'll also find pages on other topics from the arts and charity to pets, movies, creative holiday and gift ideas, and recipes (including gluten-free) that I hope you also will find useful and interesting.
