80Welcome to my little corner of Hubpages! I am a 40 year old mom to a ten year old boy. His dad and I divorced 2 years ago due to Infidelity. It was pretty much a five year break up because I felt I owed it to my son to try and forgive my ex for cheating. I stayed long enough for me to feel as if every stone had been turned. I wanted to be able to tell my son one day that I tried everything that I could to keep our family intact. I don't regret the time I stayed as I feel that I earned my way out of the marriage. When I finally did leave I never looked back or wondered if I did the right thing.
The experience of being cheated on, repeatedly lied to and the struggles associated with the divorce/custody process initially crippled me but as the cliche goes; I did come out the side so much stronger, more knowledgeable and completely equipped with the tools to have a better life. The lessons learned helped me to make better choices in all aspects of my life, relationships especially!
After joining Hubpages and reading all the wonderful articles on various topics, I decided I would like to branch out and write about more than just Infidelity. Being the age of forty brings a lot of life experience, adventures and things to write about. I made the decision to write because it's therapeutic and if I help just one other person feel a little less disorieintated when faced with a similar situation then my mission is complete.
