Writing a bio is such an exercise in self-examination. Who am I?

Well, I was, first of all, a daughter. A daughter of a fine, Christian, mama and a hard-working dad. Mama is now in a nursing home and dad spends his days at her side, in spite of his own frailties.

While in my own transition from child to adult, I next became a wife. The wife of Sam, nine years my elder, who loves me deeply and passionately and who has kept his every vow to me for 37 years. That's an amazing 2/3 of my life.

I had been told from the time I was 13, and had major surgery, that I would never be able to have children. Ten months after we were married, God proved all the specialists wrong, and I became a mother. Three children and five grandchildren later, God is still performing miracles daily in our lives.

I've been studying the subjects of creation and evolution for quite a few years now and have had the privilege for three years, to teach creation (a literal six-day creation of the universe, as declared in Genesis) at an amazing Christian camp, located in the mountains of North Carolina, Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters (www.swoutfitters.com).

I Peter 3:15, in the Bible, tells us that, as Christians, we should always be prepared to give an answer to those who ask us why we have hope in Christ. It is for that reason that I study the Scriptures and feel compelled to share what I learn.

If I had the cure for cancer, it would be criminal for me to not share that with the world. More so, to have the knowledge that could save people from an eternity in Hell, and not share it, is sin.

"This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, His one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in Him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust Him has long since been under the death sentence. And why?
