Welcome! I am delighted you stopped to find out a little more about me. I am a person with eclectic interests and experiences. At the core I am an artist and writer. My education is not at all in those directions. I have an undergraduate degree in political science and a graduate degree in theology. I periodically teach college classes in business ethics, world religions, and basic reasoning. I was very blessed to be mom to Maddie, an amazing girl with a whole lot of medical issues. When Maddie passed away, I became a grieving mom. Art and writing were the things which empowered me and continue empower me to survive.

My interests are all over the place. I love art, seeing it, creating it, talking about it, learning it, and teaching it. I am passionate about the needs of families with medically fragile children. I am the creator of “Project Mother’s Day” and am continuing to build an organization to support these families. I have had a long standing admiration for strong capable women of the past (especially female homesteaders). I am very interested in spiritual and religious traditions of all people. Once in a while I turn Betty Crocker and head to the kitchen. On the dark side, I am crime curious and seek out stories of murder and mayhem. It is not a surprise to discover I write about all of these things and more.
