His relentless drive and ambition soon led him to Wall Street, where he secured a position at Lehman Brothers, working within New York and London's Technology Media and Telecom investment group. His successes in the world's financial capitals set the stage for his return to Kazakhstan in 2007, where he took on a crucial role at Renaissance Capital.
Upon his return, Daniyar made significant strides in his career, quickly moving up the ranks due to his expertise and leadership in handling landmark deals. He transitioned into private equity, serving as Director of Investments at a leading firm, overseeing substantial transactions in the telecom and retail sectors. He also spearheaded the Kazakhstan Hong Development Fund, a $400 million initiative that attracted significant investment from prominent Hong Kong investors and the Kazakh government.
Daniyar expanded into the media sector by establishing Arai Media and Arai Production, swiftly turning it into one of Kazakhstan's most prominent private TV content producers. After divesting this business, he acquired Basel Insurance and recently exited a lucrative partnership with Everest Capital Management, which focused on real estate development in Almaty. He is the sole shareholder of Basel Insurance, a company praised by S&P Global Ratings for its strategic growth and financial robustness.
Beyond his business ventures, Daniyar is deeply committed to social impact, particularly in supporting and mentoring young talents from underprivileged backgrounds.
