Donovan Falconer is an Account Director at a digital marketing agency in Plainsboro, New Jersey. His professional journey began in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, where he managed multi-million-dollar brands before transitioning to digital marketing. His experience in both fields has helped him develop a strong foundation in managing large accounts and creating effective marketing strategies.
Born on November 2, 1994, in Morristown, New Jersey, Donovan grew up in a household with two sisters, one a teacher and the other a biologist. He spent his childhood in Morristown, developing an early interest in sports and academics. He excelled in soccer and track during high school while maintaining a strong academic performance. His hard work paid off; he graduated in the top 10 percent of his class and earned memberships in the National Honor Society and the National Business Honor Society.
After high school, Donovan attended Princeton University, where he majored in Economics and earned a certificate in Political Economy. His time at Princeton provided him with a strong academic background, and he graduated cum laude in 2017. His education at Princeton played a crucial role in shaping his analytical skills and approach to business, setting him up for success in his professional life.
At Princeton, Donovan got his first taste of the corporate world through an MBA internship program. In the summer of 2016, he worked as a Brand Management intern at a large CPG company, where he was responsible for developing a marketing strategy for a $300 million brand, focusing on capturing a larger share of the Hispanic consumer market. This experience gave him valuable insights into the intricacies of brand management and helped him develop his strategic thinking.
After graduating from Princeton, Donovan joined the same CPG firm full-time as an Assistant Brand Manager. In this role, he was responsible for revitalizing a $100 million brand through digital strategy and packaging updates. One of his significant achievements during this time was launching the brand's Instagram page, which became a central part of the company's media strategy, helping to increase consumer engagement and brand visibility.
In 2019, he was promoted to Associate Brand Manager, where he managed a $400 million brand. He focused on the club business and worked closely with agency partners to develop customer-facing strategies that addressed consumer needs. His ability to listen to customer feedback and respond with innovative solutions was key to driving growth for the brand.
After spending over three years in the CPG industry, Donovan transitioned into digital marketing. He joined a digital marketing agency and quickly rose, becoming an Account Director. In this role, he manages accounts with ad budgets exceeding $2 million annually. He is also certified in Google Ads, which allows him to develop effective pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns, search engine marketing (SEM) strategies, and social media marketing plans. His deep understanding of platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram enables him to optimize his clients' online presence and deliver measurable results.
Outside of his professional life, Donovan enjoys outdoor activities such as running and hiking. He has completed two half marathons and enjoys exploring nature through hiking; one of his most memorable experiences was completing the Four Pass Loop in Colorado, a 27-mile hike through challenging terrain. He also loves rock climbing and photography, often capturing landscapes during his adventures. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, particularly Runescape, and spending time with his two dogs, who frequently accompany him on outdoor excursions.
Donovan Falconer continues to thrive in digital marketing, applying his extensive experience in brand management and digital strategy to drive success for his clients. His journey reflects his ability to adapt to new challenges and deliver impactful results in a rapidly changing industry.
