59Neil Evan Ross, MD, is a physician and healthcare executive with experience in anesthesiology, medical operations, and healthcare leadership. He earned his academic degrees from Tulane University and Tulane University School of Medicine. Throughout his professional career, Dr. Neil Ross has established and managed anesthesia practices, including Summit Anesthesia and Pinnacle Anesthesia Consultants. Today, he resides in Boca Raton, Florida, where he serves as the leader of Diabetic Practice Solutions LLC.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Neil began his education at Ida Crown Jewish Academy. After completing high school, he moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, to attend Tulane University. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree before continuing to Tulane University School of Medicine, where he completed his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1986. His education marked the beginning of a path that would lead him into clinical practice and business leadership.
Neil began his clinical training with a surgical internship at Boston University Medical Center. The fast-paced hospital setting required quick thinking and careful decision-making, which shaped his approach to patient care from the outset. After his internship, he returned to New York for residency training in anesthesiology at New York University Medical Center. His growing interest in the field led him to complete a fellowship in cardiac anesthesia at NYU, where he deepened his understanding of high-risk procedures and patient management.
His first professional role after completing his fellowship was with Sheridan Healthcare in Hollywood, Florida, beginning in 1990. Neil served in that organization until 1996, eventually becoming Director of Cardiac Anesthesia. He contributed to the company’s growth through contract development and operational support in other regions. In addition to his clinical duties, he became more involved in administrative operations, learning the inner workings of compliance, staff coordination, billing systems, and scheduling.
In 1996, Neil relocated to New Jersey and joined Summit Anesthesia Associates. As a partner in the group, he provided clinical care and helped manage operations for hospitals, including Mountainside Hospital and Trinitas Hospital. By 1999, he became the managing member of the group. His work included overseeing contracts, recruiting physicians, managing compliance, and handling the day-to-day logistics of running a healthcare practice.
Neil founded Pinnacle Anesthesia Consultants in 2008 in Livingston, New Jersey. As the owner, he took full control of the business side and clinical coverage at a surgery center where the group provided anesthesia services. The practice grew steadily under his leadership, generating over three million dollars annually in revenue. He continued to participate in surgical cases, respond to emergencies, and supervise medical providers until 2012. That year, a stroke forced him to retire from active medical practice.
In 2016, Neil began working with Omniscient Financial LLC, a family business where he provided guidance on equipment financing and financial compliance. He remained with the company until 2024, using his administrative and analytical skills in a different industry.
Neil’s most recent professional chapter began in 2024 with Diabetic Practice Solutions LLC. This organization focuses on helping healthcare providers deliver organized diabetes care while maintaining efficiency and alignment with regulatory guidelines. Neil worked to support practices in achieving better patient outcomes and stronger financial results.
Although Neil no longer practices medicine, he holds an inactive medical license in the state of Florida. He is a member of the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He first received board certification in anesthesiology in 1991 and voluntarily renewed that certification in 2008.
After living in New Jersey for over twenty years, Neil relocated to Boca Raton, Florida, in 2019. The move gave him the chance to be closer to family and take on new projects. Outside of work, he maintains his health through regular weightlifting and enjoys collecting wine. He also continues to support synagogue communities through charitable contributions.
