Fighting for legal and social recognition outside the gendered societal structure
Christie Elan-Cane is working to achieve legal recognition and the 'right' of social equality as a person of non-gendered identity.
Christie has campaigned for non gender-specific 'X' category for passports in the United Kingdom ('X' is a permitted option for machine readable travel documents under an international agreement).
Christie has campaigned against the forced gendered categorisation of non-gendered people through lack of provision - from within the public and the commercial sectors - where there is requirement to state whether one is male or female.
Christie campaigns for social visibility of human identity outside the gendered societal structure.
Christie has lived openly outside the gendered societal structure for twenty years.
Christie has two ongoing online petitions:
1) Legal protection for all trans* and intersex in the UK
2) In support of ‘X’ passports in the United Kingdom
Most of Christie's Hubs focus on issues that are relative to the ongoing campaign
NON-GENDERED - Fighting for Legal Recognition.
Christie has strong opinions on other topical issues and diverse interests, including a knowledge of wines and most things wine-related. Christie intends to use HubPages as an outlet for other material in addition to campaign work.
The denial of existence is the worst act of discrimination by the gendered majority against the non-gendered
