Felix was born in Bury, Lancashire in 1967. Although her parents travelled the north of England during her early years due to her fathers' work, Felix was raised in Leicester from the age of 4 until she moved to Derbyshire in 1989, a few months before her 22nd birthday.

Born to an Irish Catholic father and English mother, Felix is part of a complex family including brothers and sisters born to both parents from their previous and consequent relationships. As the only surviving child of her own mother and father, Felixs' life was, and still is, deeply affected by the tragic loss of her younger sister who was murdered when she was 7 and Felix was 14.

As she grew older, Felix became a guest speaker for training events for Victim Support, Leicestershire Constabulary and Leicestershire and Rutland Probation Service, which included writing a diary of her experience of her sisters' murder to be used by the Leicestershire Constabulary for the training of Family Liaison Officers. Felix has also been interviewed by BBC Radio Leicester and has given a video interview to be used in future police training events. Felix has written the story of her early life and the murder of her young sister but has never sought to get this published.

As a single parent since 2002, Felix has dedicated her life to her work and her children and has worked voluntarily in her 'spare' time with Youth Offenders. This, along with her paid employment in various managerial, training and community projects has driven Felix to take great note of the world around her and how it affects the spirit and behaviour of others. Felix has has had articles on social issues published by the Derby Evening Telegraph and has been interviewed on community projects by BBC Radio Derby.

Throughout Felixs' life, has been the burning need to write, though like many aspiring writers direction often alluded her. Felix now feels that she has been given a wealth of life experiences so that she can use her observations in her endeavours as an aspiring writer. She is inspired by debates on education, social issues and current affairs, conspiracy theories and social agendas.

Playful, inquisitive and surprisingly light-hearted, the Cat with more than nine lives is a very mixed bag of tricks to say the least.
