I am a single mother of three working from home as a writer and taking writing classes with Longridge Writer's Group. I have many, many interests and life experiences to share. I was reading at a second grade level in kindergarten and was writing stories since I was five thanks to the commitment of my mom and grandpa. I won an award in eighth grade for writing my first 'novel', which I still have in a box somewhere! I had a movie script with a producer for a while but nothing came of it, sadly. In the 90s I had an agent submit scripts to Star Trek: Voyager and the X-Files, but, being an amateur at the time, my story ideas were not used. I still have the returned scripts in a box as well! Back then, I was working full-time and raising kids, so my writing turned into page upon page of notes and research, but, I never gave up. Now that I'm a stay at home mom I have more time to write and am currently working on an Ebook and a novel. Finding this 'hub' site was an accident, but, sounds like something I will really enjoy. Now, I can write about topics that come to mind instead of yelling at the t.v., or talking my family's ears off!
Having grown up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California to a wonderful, hard-working family, I have knowledge and interests in fishing, hunting, camping, wilderness survival, simple living, animals, and the politics and philosophies of being a 'redneck'. However, after being married and moved to Utah sixteen years ago, I have also learned suburb survival, various work experiences, and a close up look at life in 'Mormonville' with a family completely different from my own. I've been through just about everything and as a result I love learning new things, reading, researching and writing about history, science, spirituality, politics, ethics, hobbies such as rockhounding, archeaology, geology, health, mental health, weight loss and much, much more. I love learning as much as I can and writing about various topics, so, I hope that some of my articles interest you enough to stick around for more!!
