As a first-year student, he received the President's Education Award for excellence. He was also recognized by the Jesup Scott Honors College and the Kappa Psi Fraternity, affirming his commitment to scholarship and personal development.

Seeking to apply his education in a practical setting, Griffith completed his Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification in April 2025 through the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. The program prepared him for the demands of field response, where quick assessment and clear communication are essential. In 2024, he was honored with the Clinical Excellence Award, sponsored by the University of Toledo and The University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC). His EMT training includes patient assessment, basic life support (CPR and AED use), wound management, medication administration, trauma stabilization, and safe patient transport. He emphasizes accurate documentation and coordination with hospital teams to ensure continuity of care. His psychology training allows him to recognize signs of anxiety or confusion, helping him approach patients with patience and clarity during emergencies.

Since joining the Ambulance Services in June 2024, Griffith has contributed to Toledo’s community-focused healthcare initiatives. He responds to emergency calls throughout the area while also supporting outreach efforts for individuals with limited access to routine medical services. His attention to homebound patients reflects his belief that professionalism and fairness should guide healthcare delivery.
