Heather Diane Watson (Heather Watson)

Hi let me introduce myself to you. Uhhuuuh (clears throat) my name is Heather Watson and I live in Decatur, Alabama. I actually am from New Albany, Mississippi but was raised in Decatur from the age of 6 years up. I grew up pretty poor as my parents were young when they had me and neither had college degrees or good credit. My mom pretty much raised me and my younger sister while my dad dealt drugs and cheated on my mom. My dad was pretty much a dirt bag as a person and a parent so he was not to much in my crazy life. Eventually my mom got fed up of going hungry and living in shacks so she left my dad and moved in with her younger sister Judy that lived in Decatur, Al. So thats how I got here and just made Decatur my home. My mom was independent for a while and got her own apartment and decided to go back to school so my Earliest memory of feeling safe and secure was at this time. I guess my mom got tired of being alone so when I turned eight years old she had found a new man to call dad. These years were the most horrible of my entire life. Her husband turned out to be abusive and would beat me and my sister and break and occasional bone eve once in a while. Eventually when I was thirteen I was having a normal day at school and was called to the office to see my mother there crying while she was taking me out of school. When we went outside I was getting into a police car heading to an abused women's shelter. I was devastated, not only was I leaving my home, but I was leaving my friends and my life behind. I was mad at my mom for a while because I did not understand why she left and uprooted my entire life.
