Why a Divorce Shower? Statisitcally speaking, 50% of all first marriages end in divorce introducing them back into the "single status." This percentage only gets higher with second and third attempts to find wedding bliss. Unfortunately, for so many the Grand Finale of this union is divorce. Why not enter the newfound single stage with a celebration. After all, divorce is an ending as well as a beginning. I see it like this,"When you get married you have a Bridal Shower, when you have a baby you have a baby shower, when you get divorced and lose half of everything, why not have a divorce shower?"
Seriously, for some a divorce is very much like death. After all, if you look into the actual word "divorce" there are 3 words that stand out and are ironically synonymous with the "D"eed. They are die, over and void. These three words classically describe the emotions of a split. Not sure where the word is derived from leaving me to KNOT throw a stone at them in this post. Preferrably not a stone from my wedding ring anyway.
Divorce is like a roller coaster, scary from start to finish but once it's over you soon realize that you have indeed survived. Just be sure to keep your hands inside the ride until the ride comes to a complete stop.
