James Oates III

Just to share a bit about myself, so you have an idea where I come from, really and figuratively…I was born in Virginia and raised in Oklahoma. We were fairly poor. I was the first in my family to attend college…dad would have nothing but a son that went to college! After college I was commissioned in the U. S. Marine Corps and served 12 years. While on active duty at Headquarters Marine Corps in Washington, DC, I went to night school and got my M.A. in Business Management. I was a Captain when I got out of the military. For the next decade, I was an agent and manager in the insurance and investment industry. Then in 1997, I became an entrepreneur and business owner. During this time period, I got my Ph.D. in business management and my J.D. in law. I have been partners in about 10 different businesses and most have been real estate investment oriented. I have several passions…one is riding my Harley-Davidson. I bought my first Harley in 1977 and the love has continued. I am building that blog site also…it is www.PassiveIncomeAndHarley.com/blog.
