Jason Binn is an award-winning American publisher and entrepreneur known as the Founder and CEO of DuJour Media. This luxury lifestyle brand connects influential and affluent audiences across digital, print, and experiential platforms. Under his leadership, he expanded his work as a media innovator, building DuJour into a strong presence in high-end publishing. The brand shares curated content on fashion, art, culture, travel, and real estate, reaching national audiences while maintaining local relevance in major U.S. markets.
Jason is also recognized for his philanthropic efforts, using his voice and resources to support various charitable causes.
For over 30 years, he has worked at the intersection of media, luxury, and celebrity culture.
Before launching DuJour Media, he founded Niche Media in 1992, creating publications designed for the interests of different cities. His magazines reached many regions, with titles such as Aspen Peak, Boston Common, Capitol File, Hamptons, Ocean Drive, Gotham, Los Angeles Confidential, Michigan Avenue, Philadelphia Style, and Vegas. These publications played a role in defining regional luxury publishing and helped build his reputation as a leader in the media industry.
By creating publications for various markets, Binn connected with audiences in each city, allowing the magazines for Miami, the Hamptons, and New York City to carry distinct styles and voices. Niche Media also included a custom publishing division that produced publications for Art Basel Miami Beach, Wynn Las Vegas, and the Short Hills Mall, serving the Taubman real estate organization.
Growing Niche Media into a national company and successfully exiting marked an essential step in his journey. Jason sold Niche Media in 2006 to Greenspun Media Group (GMG) and continued as CEO. In 2007, GMG acquired the Ocean Drive Media Group, which he co-owned and founded. After the merger and transition, he remained in a leadership role until resigning in 2010.
DuJour Media was founded in 2012, becoming a platform that reaches high-net-worth audiences through digital, print, and experiential approaches. This multi-channel model set a new standard more than a decade ago. Its continued success comes from his commitment to understanding audiences and providing them with stories on trends and culture. Binn often collaborates with leading brands and public figures, building relationships that support DuJour’s growth and cultural impact.
His work with DuJour has reshaped luxury storytelling, earning industry recognition, including honors at the Webby Awards and other acknowledgments for its innovative approach to luxury publishing. He has also been noted for creating platforms that connect business, entertainment, and philanthropy, with mentions in Forbes, The New York Times, The New York Observer, Adweek, Vanity Fair, and The Wall Street Journal.
His career has received recognition, including the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year Award” and Crain’s “40 Under 40” award, and he was listed among “America’s Most Powerful Entrepreneurs” by Forbes. Jason also received the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce “Entrepreneur of the Year” award.
This year, DuJour is celebrating its 13th anniversary, marking its enduring presence in the luxury lifestyle media landscape. Last year, he and his team hosted an event at The Hard Rock Hotel in New York, featuring cover star Eva Longoria, which drew a large group of industry leaders and influencers. In March 2025, he organized an event in New York City to feature DuJour’s Spring cover, starring actress Gal Gadot.
Philanthropy has remained a significant aspect of his life and work. Binn has supported many organizations focused on health, children, and community programs. He has worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, God’s Love We Deliver, The Angel Ball, and The Robin Hood Foundation, among others. His involvement has included fundraising, raising awareness through his media platforms, and event support. Using his platforms at DuJour Media and previously at Niche Media, he has helped spotlight nonprofit missions to audiences who can contribute to these causes.
He is also the co-founder of the Binn Animal Rescue and Sanctuary Charitable Foundation, which helps save animals affected by cruelty or neglect. For Jason, philanthropy involves using influence and media to help drive meaningful change.
Jason was born in Roslyn Harbor, New York, and studied at Boston University’s College of Communication. He values his time with his family and children.
His interest in travel, culture, and food is evident in his work, where he seamlessly integrates his interests with his professional projects. He enjoys mentoring emerging entrepreneurs and supporting young artists while staying engaged with his community in various ways.
Jason Binn continues to blend his work in media with his commitment to philanthropy while supporting the communities and industries he serves.
