I grew up in Haltom City, Texas and have always lived and worked in the Tarrant/Dallas county area.

I have over 15 years of experience in the private security industry, and have had many titles: Officer, FTO, Corporal, Sergeant, Recruiter, Instructor, and Training Manager.

I started this blog page a few years ago as an excuse to write reviews on my knives and related gear. (I think my family was getting tired of hearing me talk about them.)
