Was Early Childhood Education Consultant, 12 yrs.; Mental Health Parent Support Tech 2 yrs. prior to leaving to become a consultant; Region VII & Kansas Head Start Association Board member six years & sec. of both 4 yrs.; created and designed the local Head Start program newsletter including my column "surviving parenthood intact" 1996 - 1999; National Head Start Association 1999 recipient of the Eugenia Boggus Leadership Award after recieving it twice at the state and regional level for volunteerism and my newsletter column; wrote for the family centered, child & parent focused MH newsletter while working at the MH center; widowed in Sep. 2006 following the suicide of my second husband of twenty years who suffered from bi-polar disorder; three children ages 39, 28, and 26; 5 grandchildren by my oldest daughter (her second husband brought 2 children into the marriage); guardian to my 21 yr. old grandaughter who resides in an indeppendent living four plex at disability supports of the Great Plains, and who has cerbral palsy; wrote for multiple online sites 2007 - current; one of four authors in the book "Saving ourselves together in the 21st Century", unhappy with the publishing tool, recently deleted my parenting blog; Honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1975 after three years and recipient of the Army Commendation Award for Outstanding Job Performance while with 7th Army in Germany; involved in grassroots politics and a grassroots advocate for families and children; democrat leaning independent and a moderate; fully support Bernie Sanders political revolution and changing the democratic party to better support ALL Americans; my passion is reading and poetry;
